Below are some of the documents you'll need to have handy when it comes time to proving your residency. You'll need these to fill out the applications.

Drivers Licenses for both a parent and a child showing the number, expiration date.
Car Registration for a parent and/or a child showing date of registration and ownership.
House Deed Information for a parent showing the date you purchased your house. If you live in Fairfax County, you can find the information here.
Voter Registration for a parent and/or a child, including the date of issuance.
Tax Information for a parent and/or a child, including whether or not you filed, what state.
Residency Duration for a parent and child including years and months in the state.
